Transforming Shahapur
The people of Shahapur are very poor and their extreme poverty has affected their level of education, health, nutrition, sanitation etc. Due to extreme poverty people migrate to adjoining cities in search of employment. Indiabulls Foundation after assessing the situation adopted the entire taluka of Shahapur with an aim to provide them better health facilities, to increase their nutritional status and offer them better ways of sanitation.
To achieve the above stated aim Indiabulls Foundation undertakes multiple social initiatives for Shahapur taluka through different domains such as health, nutrition and sanitation.
Health: under its health domain Indiabulls Foundation runs mobile medical vans, a charitable medical clinic and conducts rural health checkup camps.
Jan Swasthya Kalyan Vahika (JSK) - Mobile Medical Van: JSK van is a fully equipped van with primary health care facilities, free medicines, an MBBS doctor and a qualified pharmacist. 4 JSK vans provide primary healthcare facilities to the people at their doorstep at 30 villages in Shahapur and makes appropriate referrals whenever required. Till date the JSK van in Shahapur has catered to more than 3000 patients.
